After the summer, Oulu University of Technology will launch a research concentrating on the potential drop of the silver contactor in comparison with the friction welded copper contactor. During the first months, researchers will acquire data on the basis of which they will be able to calculate prediction models. Thus, the prediction models will provide reference data for the future and the gathered test information will be more correct.

The evaluated duration of the research is 6-12 months. We are expecting to receive the first potential drop measurement results and prediction models in August-September 2009.
